Parts Inventory That Knows What You Used
Stop Counting. Start Trusting Your Stock Levels.
AssetLab automatically deducts parts from inventory when technicians complete work orders—no manual stock updates, no spreadsheet reconciliation, no mystery shortages.
How Automatic Deduction Works
From work order to stock update—fully automated, fully accurate, fully trackable
Technician Selects Parts
While completing a work order, technician selects parts from inventory database. Specify quantity needed for each part.
Stock Validation Check
Before work order is saved, AssetLab validates sufficient inventory exists. If requesting 5 filters but only 3 available, error prevents completion.
Automatic Deduction
When work order is saved, database trigger automatically deducts quantities from inventory. Instant, accurate inventory reduction.
Work Order Update Handling
If technician edits work order and changes parts list, old parts are restored and new parts deducted. Inventory always reflects current state.
Automatic Restoration (Delete)
If work order is deleted, all parts are automatically restored to inventory. No manual correction needed.

How Reorder Point Alerts Automate Stock Reordering

How Reorder Points Work
Set a desired quantity for each part (your reorder point). When current stock falls below this threshold, the part appears in your low stock report.

How Organizations Use Parts Inventory
"Before AssetLab, we ran out of critical HVAC parts mid-summer because technicians forgot to log usage. Now, inventory updates automatically when work orders are completed. We haven't had a surprise shortage in 18 months."
"The stock validation saved us. A technician tried to use 12 filters on a work order but we only had 5 in stock. System blocked the work order until quantity was corrected. Prevented a job site embarrassment."
"We used to do quarterly physical inventory counts that took 2 days and cost $8k in overtime. With automatic deduction, our stock levels are accurate in real-time. We cut physical counts to once yearly just for audit purposes."
