    About AssetLab

Built by Asset Managers, For Asset Managers

Born from real-world frustration with disconnected systems and spreadsheet chaos, AssetLab combines strategic planning with daily operations in one intelligent platform. We've walked in your shoes—managing millions in infrastructure across municipalities and industrial facilities. Now we're building the solution we always wished existed.

    Our Story

Born from Real-World Experience in Asset Management

"There has to be a better way."

That was the thought running through our founders' minds after yet another day of jumping between five different systems just to answer one question: "When should we replace this equipment?" They were managing millions in municipal infrastructure, drowning in spreadsheets, fighting with legacy CMMS software that felt like it was built in the 90s, and manually copying data between disconnected planning tools.

The breaking point? Missing a critical equipment failure because the maintenance schedule lived in one system, the condition assessment in another, and the budget forecast in a third. Sound familiar?

AssetLab was born from that determination to do better. Our founding team—facility managers, asset planners, and software engineers—came together with a shared vision: build the system we always wished existed. Over the past 7 years, we've collectively managed over $500 million in infrastructure across municipalities, commercial properties, and industrial facilities. We've lived through the audits, the emergency repairs, the budget battles, and the "why didn't anyone tell me?" moments.

Today, AssetLab combines strategic planning with daily operations in one intelligent platform. No more data silos. No more switching between systems. No more wondering if you're making the right decision with incomplete information. Just one powerful platform that works the way real asset management teams actually work.

    The expertise behind AssetLab

Tomasz Pelszynski - Founder of AssetLab

    Tomasz Pelszynski

    Founder & CEO📍BC, Canada

The Vision: Tomasz founded AssetLab after witnessing firsthand how organizations struggle with disconnected systems—maintenance in one platform, capital planning in another, with stakeholders asking questions that require hours of manual data wrangling to answer. He saw the need for a unified platform that connects day-to-day operations with strategic capital forecasting.

The Experience: Working alongside leading Asset Managers and Strategists, Tomasz developed deep empathy for the challenges they face: building defensible budget justifications, creating 10-year capital plans, and answering stakeholder questions that seem simple but require pulling data from multiple systems.

The Approach: "Great software shouldn't require a PhD to use," Tomasz believes. AssetLab combines enterprise-grade capabilities with an interface that feels natural, making powerful analytics and forecasting accessible to everyone from technicians to executives.
