Ontario Municipal Asset Management Plans
Every plan, council approval and policy in one place, linked to the source
Under O. Reg. 588/17, every Ontario municipality had to approve an asset management plan for all its assets, with proposed levels of service and a financial strategy, by July 1, 2025. Those plans are public, but they are spread across hundreds of websites and council portals. This directory collects them so staff, councils and consultants can see how peers approached theirs.

How this directory is built
Each entry links to the latest asset management plan the municipality has published, the council record of its approval (minutes, a resolution or the meeting agenda), and its strategic asset management policy where one is posted. Every link points to the municipality's own website or meeting portal, so you can check the source yourself. The approval date is the council meeting date; notes flag where it comes from a committee or an agenda rather than the minutes.
All assets records whether the plan covers all municipal infrastructure assets, not only core assets such as roads, bridges, water, wastewater and stormwater. Where water and wastewater are delivered by an upper-tier municipality, they appear in that plan instead.
Proposed LOS records whether the document itself sets out proposed levels of service together with a lifecycle and financial strategy, the content required from July 1, 2025. Unclear means the plan does not state it plainly enough to say yes. This is a reading of each document, not a compliance assessment; only the municipality and the Province can make that call.
Plans are updated regularly. If an entry is out of date or wrong, email contact@assetlab.ca with a link to the current document and we will correct it.
